Software: GM Sunraycer - A Solar Triumph

I came across this blast from the past that I played in my elementary school science class. GM gave these materials to all the science teachers after GM won the World Solar Challenge in 1987.

You can find it here.

This web site archives all the Apple II programs that were available.

Java needs to be installed in your browser in order for the emulator to work. I was able to use it in Firefox 3.6 and Internet Explorer 8.

If the software does not seem to be responding to your keyboard entries, click on the software display - such as where it say "A Solar Triumph" on the start screen.

There is also a solar car game. Pictures and instructions are below.

To play the solar car game, you will need to press 4 on your keyboard. You will be prompted to "Turn the disk over and then press a key." This is now a virtual disk image on the website's server, so there is no longer anything to turn over. In order to do this, you will need to click the "Change Disks" button with your mouse and then click on the software display where it says "Turn the disk over and then press a key" and press a key on your keyboard - such as the space bar. Have fun Apple II style!
